dream pain...

Neck pain really gets on my nerves. It's so close to the head, at times it feels like a headache. Other times, it creeps down to my back. It always effects my shoulders. Rest is key, I find. And that is what I'm doing today. A good message could help, too. Either way, I'm nursing a sore neck and shoulder pain.

Sometimes, I feel like I should get into urban planning. The way I dream about the city and how the layouts for little towns I travel to in dreamland have a cool look to them. I should make these dreams real and draw them up and hand them in to the planning guys. I have a cool idea on what to do you with some parts of downtown and around my hood. Most of them are based on European architecture, actually. Last night I had a dream where I was walking around Cumberland Street in Toronto. I felt like I was in Paris. Maybe I was. Don't know but as far as my dream was trying to tell me, I was in Toronto. Searching for someone who lived in the area. It was an odd dream, but cool in the sense that it inspired me to create more. I wish I knew how to draw well. Gave up on that one a long time ago. Thank God for Photoshop.

Getting late. Getting hungry. Gong to take an Advil, chow down on some dinner, lay back and get inspired some more.

the deadly spy dream

I knew I was going to have a weird dream last night. Always happens. Whenever I watch a movie, somehow the storyline sneaks into my sub-conscience and plays havoc on me during rapid eye movement hours. On that note, Let me preface this by noting that I watched the new Liem Neeson flick last night Unknown. It's one of those movies that is better without the hype or not knowing what it's about. I know it worked for me as I don't recall seeing any media for the movie nor interviews with Neeson. I went in blind and it ended up being for the good. Really enjoyed it. Anyway, on to this short but troubling dream. I'm in a guest house. Really small place. Sitting on the floor. I look around. There's a casket beside me with a young boy inside. Maybe early-20's the oldest. He's dead. Blood coming out from his head. My head is bleeding too. I'm also ruffed up, but surviving. I get a call. On the other end of the phone, the voice says that they'll be here in a minute. I wait. Hear some noise outside. Look outside the door and there's three older people standing outside the door with trench jackets. I open the door. They give me a big roll of 100 dollar bills. They take the body and leave. I wake up.

dad and i dream

I just love those naps when it felt like you were laying there for a couple of minutes but you passed out for a couple of hours. Deep sleeps are nice. This afternoon I had one, and a crazy dream about my Father. I don't really dream about my Dad. I used to. Not anymore. Don't know why. We talk all the time. I'm always thinking about him. But no. This dream was a bit different though. Here it is.

I'm at my house playing some domino's with my Dad at the kitchen table. I'm drinking some wine. My Dad and I were chatting while throwing down the hard cards. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then, my head falls to the table. I fall asleep. I feel my father picking me up and carrying me around on his back. He suddenly starts running around the house. Then I feel him running up the stairs. He screams out Happy Birthday. It's my mothers birthday. I come to and give my Mom a kiss.

I wake up.
