It's been a blast, folks. The Worlds Most Popular Podcast is signing off. Truth to be told, there's not enough hours in the day for Alan and Michael - the perfectionists they are - to continue making it The Words Most Popular Podcast.
I signed on in September 2014, because I was geeked to know I was writing for THE Alan Cross and I also always liked Michael Hainsworth's work. At first it was the 15 year old radio fan who wanted to write for two talents I looked up to.
We built the team of young, passionate, smart writers who have become family. The behind the scene stuff - our group chats in the `newsroom' , our brainstorm sessions,, our genuine appreciation for each others work, are things I will miss. The chats, the sessions, the appreciation, picked me up when I was having bad days. Those times will always be with me, when I spin a Beatles track or think of Where I was when Bowie died.
I've learned a lot from Alan and Michael. How to write. My writing improved, if I say so myself. I also gained a lot more experience with blogging, internet marketing and other geeky techy stuff you don't really care about. I'm honoured to consider them both, friends. Also, thank you for getting me recognized a couple of times. One time was on the subway coming back from a G&B dinner. (Reminder: People really do look at your picture on websites...Tidy up, look pretty)
I'll have a lot more time, if you need a writer who has a lot of experience with breaking news stories, and posting favourite monthly tracks. Once again, The 15 year old radio geek loved every single moment of it. Resume on request.. Thanks, again
Check out G&B before it becomes a 404 Error page.
