As I write this, news is breaking that my second home is broke. Detroit is getting ready to file for Chapter 9 tomorrow morning. The same day, I'm leaving after a wonderful eight day stay. Full of laughs, late nights, drinks, touristy afternoons and quality time with loved ones, our memories will only reside in our hearts and in pixels form. Speaking of which, are a few snaps I took in the last couple of days. Click 'em to make 'em bigger.
Been real, Detroit. I'll see you soon.

not messin' with my photography game, anymore..
Was able to get a chance to take a walk with my camera this afternoon. Even though I only took a few shots, It was nice to get back in swings of things. It's crazy how Instagram can mess up your photography game.
Here are the shots I took. As always, click'em to make them larger.

the day i took pictures again..
During the afternoon of our breezy double digit Monday, I ended up taking my first hike of the season. If Mother Nature cooperates, I'll try to go out for one at least once a week. On Monday, however, I was able to get my camera back in action and take some flicks. Since I've been hooked up to Instagram, I haven't used my digital too much. It was to get my eyes working again and looking for the good shot.
Hopefully, as soon as I find a good server to help me create the photography site I want to create, I'll post more pictures from that day. 'Till then, just click to enlarge them.

salute, spring.
It's my favorite season of the year. Salute, Spring. We've been waiting for you. Snow is still on the ground, and the chill is still in the air, but by studying the long-term forecast on The Weather Network, it looks like we're going to get some sunny skies with hotter temps by the weekend and should be staying on the plus side for the foreseeable future.
I can't wait to get digging in my yard. Can't wait to get jogging again. Afternoon walks in the park with my camera and everything else that comes with the season. Here's a design I did this morning to welcome in the spring solstice. The picture was taken at the homestead. Cool plant I picked up last fall. Might do more designs with it. Love the colors.
Happy Spring to You.

last brush with mr. frost.
From what is predicted for the next 14 days, it looks like this might be our last brush with Mr. Frost. The snow has started to say its goodbyes at the homestead. This happened earlier..

the mill
Old Mill played host for the wedding this past weekend. As a heritage spot, I was able to take a few shots.

classic finds from the basement
While looking for some Christmas stuff, I came across a box. The Box. The box that you haven't opened for years. This particular box, I haven't opened since the 90s. I was able to tell by the vintage Adidas the dust was sporting. Anyway, took the time to investigate. Great memories soon came flooding back..
