Sad news coming out from Vancouver this hour. May Boner Rise in Power.

Actor Andrew Koenig is missing and was last seen in Vancouver on Feb. 14.

Koenig is also the son of Walter Koenig, who played Chekov in Star Trek. However he is best known in acting for his role playing Richard 'Boner' Stabone on the popular sitcom Growing Pains from 1985 to 1989.

In total Koenig appeared in 25 episodes, according to imbd.com

As the friend of Mike Seaver (Kirk Cameron), Boner would be the perfect mischievous and happy-go-lucky teenage side kick of the son of Dr. Seaver (Alan Thicke).

"Mike and Boner could always work things out when they put their minds to it. Andrew, if you’re reading this, please call me," Cameron told the magazine People this week trying to reach out to his missing friend.

Shortly after Koenig left the show ratings coincidentally dropped and by 1992 it was cancelled.

Late 80's television shows on ABC like Growing Pains, Who's the Boss and MacGyver all have developed a cult following.
