Did you hear about that guy in Jacksonville who quit his DJ duties live on the air while blasting upper management and the company that owned Rock 105? DJ Greg Stepp made a bunch of mumbles around industry websites while the on-air resignation was listened to by thousands. Now, only weeks after Stepp stepped down, it comes out that the whole thing was a sham. ROCK105 wanted to send some buzz around the town about Stepp leaving and creating new buzz about the return of Jacksonville radio legend, The Greaseman to the afternoon drive. Ends up, Stepp had quit a few weeks earlier and had taken a radio management job in California.
