michael retires..
Wham!. George Michael is retiring from touring. The 80's pin-up pop star has made it official that his upcoming August dates at Earl's Court in London, England will be his two shows forever.
"These very special shows will naturally feature Michael's hits, some tracks not previously performed in Britain," stated a blurb on the singer's official website. "These shows are truly not to be missed by any George Michael fan."
The shows, which will end off Michaels 25 Live Tour, will feature a whole new stage set and play list and will be videotaped for an upcoming DVD release.
Michael plans to hit North America (including a date locally at the ACC on July 17th) before wrapping up the tour that's been dubbed as the Final Two. The name makes reference to the sold-out 1986 Wembley Stadium show which was called The Final that saw the last time Wham! performed as a group.
