wacko jacko says bye to london this summer

While barely paying attention to The Idol playing in the background with the Top 12 trying to do Micheal Jackson songs, I thought this news piece should be posted. I was going to few days ago when the news broke, but I just remembered when I realized how much I miss the King. However, much of the King will be taking the stage this summer in London, England?

From EGigs Uk

Singer Michael Jackson has announced the dates on which he will perform in his first visit to London this summer.

The King of Pop performs his greatest hits, 'This Is It' tour, over a ten night residency at the O2 Arena in London will begin on Wednesday 8th July. "I am coming to London to play the songs my fans want to hear." said the singer.

Nearly one million people are believed to have registered for a chance to buy tickets in tomorrow's pre-sale. Michael Jackson has not played a series of concerts since he last toured 12 years ago.

The singer is expected to earn upwards of $400million in total for this comeback, that figure also includes a 3D film deal.

The O2 Arena residency dates are:
Wed 8th July
Fri 10th July
Sun 12th July
Tue 14th July
Sat 18th July
Mon 20th July
Wed 22nd July
Fri 24th July
Sun 26th July
Tue 28th July

Tickets priced £75, £65, and £50 will go on sale this Friday, 13th March at 7am, and eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.

It is widely anticipated that once these dates sell out there will be an announcement of more dates, this could result in as many as 30 shows in the capital.
