ted rogers in stable condition

TORONTO — The health of self-made cable TV mogul Ted Rogers has stabilized after he was admitted to a Toronto hospital last week for treatment of an existing heart condition.

Rogers says he's grateful for the quality of care he's had at the Toronto General Hospital but wants the privacy of his family to be respected.

Rogers was admitted to hospital last Friday.

Rogers, who began his first business while still in university, has long been listed among Canada's most wealthy individuals and is widely regarded as a pioneer of the Canadian communications industry.
