One of the most well known radio names in this city for over 30 years is leaving the airwaves. Andy Barrie announced this morning on his CBC Metro Morning radio show that it's time to leave the microphone due to health. Barrie - who announced he has cancer in 2007, stated that he is fine, but has to deliver his full support to his family at the moment due to other health problems going on around him. Barrie has been in Toronto since 1977 on CFRB, a short stint on Global Television and has fronted the CBC morning run since 1995 always delivering top numbers. Hope all goes good, Andy. You'll be missed on the airwaves.
