more on hollywood fire..

We now have more details on the early morning Sunday fire that burnt down a part of Universal Studios L.A. According to Perez, two crew workers were using a blowtorch to heat asphalt roofing shingles. They were using the shingles for a upcoming shoot on the New York Street set. When the crew members were finished at around 3am, they took a break. After they came back from the break however, a security guard saw some flames and reported the fire. That was at around 4.43am.

The fire gunned down 3 1/2 acres of the 391 acre theme park which saw it destroy the King Kong exhibit and parts of New York Street. Officials have confirmed that they'll replace all the sets and even fix the Kong exhibit while the popular Universal train studio train ride will go on as scheduled and just pass-by any effected areas.
