so long chuck.

Last January I won a trip to go with the Toronto Raptors to check out a game in Philly. One of the perks of the contest was to have breakfast with Chuck. Yeah. The Chuck. I knew Chuck from his radio show on The Fan and as not much of a sports nut, I still thought his mid-day show was entertaining and worth checking out once in a while when I had that annoying sports-talk scratch. The morning of the breakfast, My dad, our tour guide and head of MLSE Promotions, the two other winners and myself sat down with Swirsky to talk ball. The humble broadcaster had a bunch of stories to share while his passion and love for what he does was very easy to read. In some ways, the breakfast with Chuck was the best part of the whole experience.

I'm glad I had a chance to meet him before he decided to head to Chicago.

Not since the days of Tom Cheek, I remember a sports play-by-play guy that's so loved and appreciated more than Chuck. He'll be missed in Toronto and we wish him the best at his new digs.

So Long Chuck..You did good.
